One of the most important annual exhibitions in the field of Taxi, the Feria del Taxi was held on the 15^th and the 16^th of September in Madrid.

The Fair was attended by Mr. A. Katsantonis, Chairman of Taxiplon and Mr. N. Nikolaou, Managing Director. Taxiplon’s delegates, had the opportunity to meet with professionals and representatives of companies operating in the taxi industry and to exchange views and information on issues internationally relevant to professional taxi drivers.

Furthermore, Taxiplon’s representatives had the opportunity to get in touch with Elite Taxi, one of Madrid’s largest taxi cooperatives, with more than 4,000 members, as well as FPT Madrid, the Madrid Professional Taxi Drivers’ Federation.

In addition, the exhibition was an excellent opportunity for visitors to discover electric taxi solutions and in particular LEVC, whose hybrid model already circulates in London, and NISSAN Leaf which is a proven solution in Madrid with already 120 vehicles successfully operating in the city. A simple test drive was more than enough in order to understand how this new technology operates and the upcoming shift to purely electric vehicles.

Numerous technology companies were present at the Fair, having innovative proposals for the modern professional driver. Technological solutions for taximeters, fleet management systems, passenger applications and other products that will mark the future of the taxi industry.
